Port de Grave, 1844
On April 26, 1844, William ANDREWS, planter, of Port de Grave, was
granted £10 sterling by the Legislature for relief in consideration of his
age and length of service. He was 84 years of age and had served as
Constable at Port de Grave for 43 years.

appointed Constable on Jan 1,1861.

- Sergeant: Matthew McKEE;
- Constables: Michael BRIEN, Alfred BUTT, Matthew COUGHLAN, John
RINGWOOD, Frederick ROWE, John SNOOK.
- Frederick ROWE and Alfred BUTT were attested on Feb 14, 1850, and
Dec 23, 1860 respectively, both being natives of Carbonear.
