Captain Oliver of Guernsey; who saved the Crew, and carried them into Guernsey.

Vessel: "Little Robin". Captain Robert Mills. Voyage: Teignmouth to Newfoundland. 70 Tons. Built at Rhode Island in 1772. For: John & Robert Pinson.

In 1776, Robert Mills captained the "Little Robin", Teignmouth to Newfoundland, for J & R Pinson_Pinsent.

In 1776, John Hooper captained the "Greyhound", a 100 ton vessel, Teignmouth to Newfoundland, for J. Pinsent & Co.

Snow and Butler/Le Boutillier appear connected with the Islands of Jersey/Guernsey.
"Where her husband was settled"
Settlement Certificates were normally permitted by Parishes, only if legal proof of community attachment could be established. Parishes avoided the undue costs of funds expended, for folk having no legal settlement. Ie: Sojourners, strangers, vagabonds, paupers, etc. If Mary Butler's husband was settled in St. Peter's Parish, Isle of Jersey; one may be confident, this settlement was legal. Teignmouth, Topsham, Starcross, Kenton, and Exmouth local area, jives more with a generality of Port de Grave ancestral interests. Lympstone?

Now in Kenton, she was born in Newfoundland where her parents belonged, when she was 16 she married and remained there with her husband for 10 years, when they moved to St Peters, Jersey, where her husband was settled, and lived there for 14 years, then she came to Kenton and took lodgings at 8d or 9d a week, she then rented a cot house at £1 16s, she is now 46.

Now in Kenton, she was born in Newfoundland where her parents belonged when she was 5 she went to St Peters, Jersey, where her father belonged for 14 years, then she came to Kenton and lived with her mother for 6 years working as a day labourer she is 26.

There is a vast plurality of marriages at the Island of Jersey, which may be considered part of a macro picture, as generally occurs when one begins realizing the reality background/origins of early Newfoundland "old world" ancestors. Just a few are sampled below here. Would DNA assist resolve the Port de Grave Butler family origins? ?Le Boutillier of Jersey, Newfoundland, and the Gaspe Peninsula?
