In re
Philip Hollett deceased. In the name of God Amen I Philip Hollet a native of Burin, Placentia Bay Newfoundland and resident there being in good health and sound mind and memory thanks be given unto God but calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed unto men once to die therefore I do for avoiding controversies after my decease make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I command my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to the dust nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the power of God. And as touching such worldly goods or estate wherewith God has been pleased to bless me in this life I give and bequeath in following manner viz whatever money is due me of Messrs. Newman Hunt & Co. (No. 12 New Broad Street London) to Susan Hollet widow of the late Benjamin Hollet one fifth to Edward Hollet son of Susan and Benjamin Hollet one fifth to Philip Hollet son of Susan and Benjamin Hollet one fifth to Henry Hollet son of Thomas and Martha Hollet one fifth to Thomas Hollet son of Thomas and Martha Hollet one fifth to Philip Hollet son of Thomas and Martha Hollet one tenth As respects my estate in Burin aforesaid I give and bequeath to Thomas Hollet son of Thomas and Martha and to Susan Hollet widow of the late Benjamin Hollet all my part of the fishing room (together with all the utensils) bequeathed to me by my mother Dina Hollet deceased for their sole and separate use and to their heirs executors and assigns to have and to hold for ever And the dwelling house that the said Susan Hollet now occupies is to be hers and her heirs for ever. Furthermore absolutely revoking all former wills made by me I declare this only to be my last will and testament and do appoint Thomas Hollet and Henry Hollet the aforesaid sons of Thomas and Martha Hollet to be my executors in witness I the said Philip Hollet the testator have this day to this my last will and testament set my hand and affixed my seal this thirteth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one.
