Will of Joseph Wagg

In re     Joseph Wagg     deceased.

    In the name of God, Amen. I Joseph Wagg of Stepaside, in the Electoral District of Burin, Newfoundland do make, ordain and declare this instrument to be my last will and testament revoking all others. To my beloved wife Maria Wagg I leave all my land for her maintenance and support with this stipulation that she is to bring no one to live on it against the wishes of her sons, at her decease the land is to be divided as follows: -
1 The part now held by my son William is to be the property of his son Joseph Heber.
2 The part now held by my son Thomas is to be the property of his daughter Elizabeth
3. The part now held by my son Stephen to be the property of his two sons Joseph & John
Lastly I constitute Edmund Read of Stepaside my sole executor. In witness of all and each of the things herein contained I have set my hand this 28th day March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred, ninety-eight     Joseph X Wagg witnesses Thomas Wagg     John Wagg.
