IN RE: JOHN WALSH. DECEASED
In the name of God Amen. I John Walsh do hereby make my last will and testament the 25 day of the month of January in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and nine
I bequeath to my son Joseph Walsh my property consisting of a Dwelling House & Furniture meadow land stable and water side premises on the following conditions. That my said son do give to my Daughter Francis Turpin wife of Alphonse Turpin the Dwelling house and land of which he is owner But in case my said son do not agree to the condition named Then all the property before described is to be sold and the money obtained is to be paid for masses for the repose of my soul
My Cod Trap and gear now at Lawn is to be sold also my Cattle which consists of eight head of horned Cattle and six Sheep reserving one Cow and one Sheep out of the number which is to be the property of my son Joseph Walsh The money obtained from the sale of Cod Trap Cattle & Sheep is to be given in payment for masses for the repose of my soul I witness hereof I sign my hand the day month and year first above written John his x mark Walsh witness M Vavasseur William Whiffin
