HOUSE	James House married Theresa Hall on Nov. 25, 1889 at Gooseberry Islands. This was transcribed by Mr. Roberts as "Laressa Wall". It is either a mis-reading of the handwriting or a typographical error. James House was my grandfather. Within a year after their marriage Theresa died shortly after their first child was born. The baby was christened George Hall Howse. He was my father's half-brother. His descendants are living in Grand Falls- Windsor and beyond. Six years later James married E lizabeth Joyce Feltham, and my father, Cecil Howse, was born Jan.13, 1906, after the family moved to Hare Bay in 1904. You will note that the spelling of the name House/Howse was used by members of both the Anglican and the Methodists of the same family at this time on Gooseberry Islands. Incidentally, Eunice House who married Elias Taylor was also James House's sister, and Job House, who witnessed the marriage, was an uncle of James and Eunice.	Domino House
