In re
          Thomas Hayward deceased.

This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Hayward Planter of Newmans Cove in the District of Bonavista.     I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Jane Rolls at present living in Newmans Cove all my land under fence and cultivation in Newmans Cove also all my cattle dwelling house cow house and all my furniture that is in my dwelling house also my fishing room that I now occupy to her, her heirs and successors for ever.     In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty ninth day of December A.D. 1876.     Thomas his X mark Hayward.     Signed by the testator as his last will in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to his mark, the will having been carefully read over to him in our hearing before execution, David Candow,     Joseph Goodland.
