Will of Joseph Rodgers

 In re     Joseph Rodgers     deceased.

    This is the Last will and Testament of me Joseph Rodgers of Catalina in the Northern District of the Island of Newfoundland Fisherman. I appoint Frederick Somerton of Catalina the Executor of this my last will and testament
1. I give devise and bequeath my Dwelling House and land with all buildings or erections thereon unto my daughter Hannah House
2. I give and bequeath my Bed and Bedding chest and one Overcoat unto my Grandson Robert House the other Overcoat unto my Grandson Ronald House.
3 I give and bequeath unto my three Grand-children Frank Rodgers, Eli Rodgers and Gertrude Rodgers the sum of thirty dollars share and share alike and also all my wearing clothes.
4 I direct my executor to purchase three Tombstones, one for myself one for my wife and one for my son, said Tombstones to cost about fifteen or twenty dollars each, after paying my Funeral and other lawful expenses the residue if any to be divided equally amongst my daughter Hannah House and her surviving children
In witness whereof I have hereto subscribed my name the Eighteenth day of June A.D. 1908     Joseph his x mark Rodgers     Signed Publish and Declared by the said Testator as & for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence & in the presence of each have subscribed our names as witnesses     Leonard Miles     Victor P. Martin
