In re JOHN PENNEY (OF EDWARD) DECEASED. The last Will and Testament of John Penney of Edward, Keels, Bonavista Bay, Nfld. I John Penney of Edward, of Keels Bonavista Bay, Nfld, being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament. 1st I give, bequeath, and devise, to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Ann Penney, my dwelling house and all it contains, also my share of fishing room, and fish store, Flakeroom, also my share of Potato gardens, Cabbage lands, and Meadow lands, also stable, and outhouses, and share of Cellar, and my share of Store known as Penney’s big Store, and all other items, not particularly named in this my will, to be hers during her natural life. And that at the death of my said wife, all the property hereby devised, or bequeathed to her aforesaid, I give to my youngest daughter, Kate Glady’s Penney. 2nd I give and bequeath unto my wife the sum of fifty dollars, and its accruing interests since year 1901 now in the Bank of Montreal Saint John’s, in my name. 3rd I give and bequeath unto my said wife half of the sum of one hundred and ninty dollars and its accruing interests, now in the Bank of Montreal saint John’s Nfld in the name of my brother William penney of Ed since the year 1910. 4th These bequests 2nd and 3rd I leave entirely to my said wife, who after paying my just debts and funeral expenses, she can use as she desires. 5th I appoint and make the said Elizabeth Ann Penney, Executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this third day of December A.D. 1914.
