John Barnes deceased.
This is the last will and testament of me John Barnes of Greenspond made this third day of December A.D. one thousand eight hundred & eighty as follows I give devise and bequeath to my sister Priscilla Blake the dwelling house in which I now reside during her life & afterwards to her two sons Peter and George Blake their heirs executors & assigns to & for her and their own absolute use and benefit. I also bequeath to the said Peter and George Blake all my share of the fishing room, garden ground and stores or other tenements erected thereon. To my brother William Barnes I give & bequeath the sum of One hundred pounds current money of Newfoundland. To my nephew James Barnes one hundred pounds. To my niece Jane wife of Samuel Saunders the sum of forty pounds. To my niece Amy wife of Edward White Thirty pounds and to my niece Ann Barnes the sum of thirty pounds To my sister Priscilla and her husband James Blake I give & bequeath the sum of two hundred pounds. To their daughter Jane Pond one hundred pounds. To their son Peter Blake one hundred pounds and to their son George Blake one hundred pounds all in current money of Newfoundland and the remainder of my money together with my household furniture and any other property whatsoever and wheresoever that I may die possessed of I give devise and bequeath unto my sister Priscilla Blake her heirs executors and assigns for her and their absolute use and benefit according to the nature and quality thereof respectively, subject only to the payment of my just debts funeral & testamentary expenses & to the charges of proving and registering this my will. And I appoint my sister Priscilla Blake executrix of this my will and hereby revoke all other wills. In witness whereof I have here hereunto set my hand & seal the day and year above written.
