Will of Frederick Carter

In re     FREDERICK CARTER.     DECEASED.

I, Frederick Carter of Port Nelson Bonavista Bay, being of sound mind and memory do declare this to be my last will and testament.

The House situated by the Public Road owned and now occupied by me; I give and devise to my son Arthur Carter. The House situated by the Water Side and owned by me I give and devise to my son Augustus Carter; All my land and water side premises I give and devise and bequeath to my three sons Augustus Carter, Walter Carter and Arthur Carter. My Grand Daughter Olive Carter can live in Arthurs House so long as she remains single.

I give and devise to my Daughter in Law Mary Carter the sum of One Hundred Dollars. I give and devise to my grand Daughter Olive Carter the sum of One hundred dollars and the sum of Eight hundred dollars to be equally divided among my three sons Augustus Carter     Walter Carter and Arthur Carter the said amount $200.00 and $800.00 is in the Bank of Montreal and now held by me.

I appoint my son Walter Carter my Executor of this will and devise; nor shall he be required to give securities in the performance of this Will.

In witness whereoff I Frederick Carter have hereunto subscribed my hand this First day of September in the year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Twenty Four.     Signed FREDERICK mark X his CARTER

Subscribed by the testator in the presence of each of us and at that time declared by him to us as his last Will and Testament.
