Will of Edward Penney

In re: EDWARD PENNEY. DECEASED

This is the last will and testament of me Edward Penney of Keels in the Island of Newfoundland, Merchant, hereby revoking and annulling all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me made and declaring this and none other to be my last will and testament.

Firstly. I hereby direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be first paid out of my estate by my Executrix hereinafter named.

Secondly. I direct that all my lands, goods, chattels and effects of every description and kind whatsoever shall be realized by my said Executrix to the best advantage and in such a manner as to her may seem most advisable and the proceeds arising out of such realization I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my wife and two children in three equal shares To Hold the same unto them forever.

Thirdly. I give and bequeath to my said wife and two children also in three equal shares all money arising out of my Life Assurance Policies To Hold the same unto them forever

Fourthly. I give and bequeath the rest, residue and remainder of my estate and effects to my said wife and two children in three equal shares and I hereby appoint my said wife Charlotte Penney to be the sole Executrix of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand subscribed at Keels aforesaid this Twelfth day of August A.D. 1909 Edward Penny Signed published and declared by the said Testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto our hands subscribed as witnesses Eli Penny Francis Penny Chas G. Le Vesconte
