IN RE: APOLLOS SQUIRES. DECEASED
I Apollos Squires of Greenspond Newfoundland being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following That is to say.
1. I give devise and bequeath, to my son Joseph Squires all my property situate at Greenspond, consisting of houses and lands, together with the furniture and fittings of said houses, not particularly named and otherwise disposed of in this my will - said houses and lands to become the property of my son Joseph Squires on or after the death or 2nd marriage of my wife Ann Maria Squires should she survive me
2. My daughter Eva Squires to be kept and supported out of my possessions as long as she remains unmarried.
3. The whole of my money now in the Savings Bank St. John's, I give devise and bequeath to my wife Ann Maria Squires, and at her death or 2nd marriage said monies with Interest thereon, to become the property of my son Joseph Squires
4. I hereby appoint my son Joseph Squires sole executor of this my will ratifying and Confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I Apollos Squires have hereunto set my hand this Fifth day of October A.D. 1896 Apollos his x mark Squires Subscribed by the testator in the presence of us, and at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament witnesses Samuel daw Joseph H. Edgar
