Andrew Oldford deceased.
I Andrew Oldford of Salvage, Fisherman & local constable, am this 20th day of December 1906 of a sound mind & good understanding, and do hereby give and bequeath as follows:- - I give and bequeath to my grandson Leander Oldford, my punt one Salmon net, and a piece of ground situated on the neck at Bishop’s Harbour which has been in his occupation for the past three years.
- I give and bequeath the garden against the parsonage, to my daughter Elizabeth Brown
- I give and bequeath the remainder of my land and property, my fishing gear, nets, & moorings, to be equally divided between my two sons William and Henry James Oldford.
- There is a sufficient sum of money in the house to cover funeral expenses & to purchase a tombstone, after my death I hereby appoint my two sons to see that such is expended.
- All my other money is deposited in the Newfoundland Savings Bank and the Bank of Montreal, and is to be equally divided between my two sons, William & Henry James Oldford, and my three daughters:- Elizabeth Brown, Jemima Oldford and Clara Love.
- I hereby appoint (Rev) Ernest E. Rusted executor of this my will, and I also hereby revoke all former wills & codicils.
In witness whereof I have subscribed these presents at Salvage this Twentieth day of December nineteen Hundred and six years in presence of two witnesses. Andrew Oldford (LS) Signed by the testator & for his last will & Testament in presence of us, who, at his request, in his presence, and in presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witness Rev Ernest E Rusted.
