In re

    WILLIAM POTTLE      deceased.

    In the name of Almighty God Amen     I William Pottle of Flat Rock in Conception Bay & Dist. of Bay D.V. Newfoundland. This 14th day of August 1914 in soundness of mind & memory do hereby make my will. My son George is to hold the land he has in possession & the remainder is to be divided between the my other two sons Edward and James. If Edward ever comes back to claim it, and James is to hold in possession the said Edward’s part of land untill Edward returns to claim it. James and his mother are to have the Cow & my son George is to have the first calf from her.     Edward is to have the boat & all the Gear belong to her if ever he comes back to need it.     The eight daughters are to get ten dollars $10 each.     After deducting my daughter’s share of money my wife is to hold in possession the remainder as long as she lives for a part of her support while living & after her death the remainder is to be divided between my three sons Edward, George & James. After the death of my wife the bed is to be given to James son John William. The fishing room is to be divided in to three equal part.     Drawn this 14th day of August 1914 under my hand.
