Will of William Sparkes

IN RE:   WILLIAM SPARKES.    DECEASED

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me William Sparkes of St. John's In the Island of Newfoundland, Street-Railway-Man.

FIRST. I hereby revoke all testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me.

SECOND. I direct that all my debts funeral and testamentary expenses and death duties be paid out of my estate.

THIRD. I give devise and bequeath all my property to Thomas M. Warfield of St. John's Grocer, in trust
(a) to pay the income thereof towards the support of my mother Mrs. Elizabeth Sparkes of Harbour Grace, Widow, for and during her natural life
(b) after the death of my said mother the said property is to become the property of Thomas Alder Warfield son of the said Thomas M. Warfield, absolutely.

FOURTH. I appoint Thomas M. Warfield of St. John's my sole executor.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF: I the said William Sparkes have hereunto my hand subscribed this 25th day of August, Anno Domini, One thousand nine hundred and twenty-three.
