In re WILLIAM HOWLIN: DECEASED. This is the last will and testament of me William Howlin of Saint John’s Crier of the Supreme Court of this Island. I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds currency to be expended in the purchase and erection of a stained glass window for the new Roman Catholic Church of St. Patrick at River Head in this Town- All the rest and residue of my monies and effects I bequeath to the Orphanage of St. Michael in this town or to such charitable purposes as my executor may deem fit to apply the same. I appoint the very Reverend Thomas MacGrath of St. John’s executor of this my last will and testament.Wm. Howlin (LS) Signed, executed and declared in our presence this 26th day of January 1874, Jos. I. Little, Robert J. Kent. I ordain and make the following as a codicil to the foregoing will viz: To the said Very Reverend Thomas McGrath I bequeath the sum of six pounds out of the said residue of my monies to be applied by him to the uses and purposes for which I have already explained to him.
