In re: WILLIAM J. HERDER DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me William J. Herder of Saint John’s, in the Island of Newfoundland, Newspaper Proprietor. I revoke all former Wills by me at any time made and I appoint my wife, Elizabeth, the Executrix of this my Will. I give and bequeath to my said wife for her own use absolutely all the property of whatsoever kind I may die possessed. In so far as the business of the "Evening Telegram" newspaper is concerned it is my wish that my said wife shall form the same into a limited liability company and that she shall have full power to decide as to the allocation of the shares therein.

It is my desire and recommendation that the Directors of the said company shall be my said wife my three sons and Mr. Michael G. Martin whom I desire to be the secretary of the said Company. Witness my hand at St. John’s this 20th day of may, A. D. 1922. W. J. HERDER.
