At this point I don't have a clue as to where this gentleman belongs in the Carnell family. His wife Mary was Mary Jane Murphy. They had a couple of girls baptised in the Presbyterian Parish in St. John's in the late 1870s.

I William Henry Carnell of the town of Saint Johns in the Island of Newfoundland declare this to be my last Will and testament. I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Carnell all my household goods furniture chattels and effects. I give and devise to my said wife the double dwelling house known as Circular Buildings and situated on the North side of Gower Street East of Kings Road. I appoint and make the said Mary Carnell Executrix of this my last Will and testament. Signed and sealed this Twenty third day of June A.D. One thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-seven.
