Will of William Guzzell

In re: WILLIAM GUZZELL. DECEASED

St. John’s N.F.L. Oct 20th 1906 I William Guzzell of St. John’s Farmer declare this to be my last will & testament.

I give & bequeath to my wife Lydia Guzzell my Horse, Carts, Harnesses, Buggie, Sleigh, Express Mowing Machine. Iron Plow Harrow Chattels & efects Hay & Fodder.

I give & devise to my son James Guzzell The Ground with stable there on of water street & right of way to same, that he is to give a peaceful right of way to his sister Mrs. Adia Parmeter & to his mother Lydia Guzzell also that the stable ground & right of way to the same shall not be morgaged or sold for any Debt

To my son William Alexander Guzzell I give & bequeath the sum of one shilling sterling.

To my Daughter Jessie Maria Dawson I give & Bequeath the sum of one Shilling Stirling.

I give & Devise To my wife Lydia Guzzell my son James Guzzell & my Daughter Adia Parmeter. The Farm on Bay Bulls Road To keep the interest on same paid up. And if not to sell & after the Debt is paid on it To divide in Equal share the remainder of the money they will have left between their Three selves I appoint William B. Ireland my said friend as Executor of this my will & desire that he shall not be required to give any security for the performance of His Duties In witness whereof I William his X mark Guzzell have hereunto set my hand & seal this Twentyth day of October 1906 subscribed by the testator in presence of each of us & at the same time declared by him to us as his last will and testament witness our hands this Twentyth Day October A.D. 1906 William T Lester Elizabeth Casey William B.
