Will of William Field

In re: WILLIAM FRANCIS FIELD. DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Francis Field of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Farmer.

First, I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Eliza Jane Field all that portion of my land with my Dwelling House and outhouses and other erections thereon and which is now in my occupancy and containing about Ten acres to hold the same during the term of her natural life, and after her death I give and bequeath the same unto my nephew William Vallance Field absolutely.

Second. All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate of whatsoever nature and wheresoever situate I give and bequeath to my said wife Eliza Jane absolutely and forever.

Third. I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife sole Executrix under this my said will.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland this Seventh day of June One thousand nine hundred and Twenty two. WILLIAM F. his X mark FIELD Signed by the said Testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. Having first been read over and explained to the Testator who appeared perfectly to understand the same and who signed the same by making his mark thereto in our presence. J.A. Clift. E.S. Pinsent.
