Will of William Brien

IN RE:   WILLIAM BRIEN.    DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me William Brien of Ferryland in the District of Ferryland in the Island of Newfoundland. I hereby revoke all wills by me at anytime heretofore made I appoint my wife Margaret Brien to be my Executrix and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses hall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. I give devise and bequeath unto my son in law, Matthew Barnable of Ferryland the house he lives in the ground it is built on and the ground which surrounds it & bounded as follows. East by the Main line of road, south West by Tobins Lane, North west by Costellos' meadow and north by the lane from my own house to the Main Line of Road.

I give devise & bequeath to my grandsons James and William, sons of Matthew Barnable that piece of land in Ferryland near Brimstone hill containing about three acres & bounded as follows. East by Main line of road, south west by Brennans field north west by Brimstone hill, and north by ungranted land held by Andrew Healey. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Margaret Brien the balance of all my real and personal estate together with the house we are now occupying In witness whereof. I the said William Brien here to this my last will and Testament set my name this day of July 30th in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four William x Brien - witnesses by Nicholas Murphy Sylvester Brennan
