Will of Thomas Sullivan
In re THOMAS SULLIVAN. DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me, Thomas Sullivan, present of St. John’s and formerly of Elliston in the Island of Newfoundland Forestry Companies. I revoke all former wills by me at any time made, and I appoint Charles O’Neill Conroy, of St. John’s aforesaid, Executor of this my will. I give and bequeath to the Reverend Dr. James Greene of St. John’s the sum of Forty dollars for his own use, and I request that he will say a Mass or two for the repose of the souls of myself and my deceased wife Johanna. I give and bequeath to Harry Conroy, son of my said Executor, the sum of Twenty dollars, and to Catharine Eagan, daughter of Mary Eagan who was adopted daughter of my brother John, the sum of Twenty dollars, and to Edna Jane Hill, Daughter of James Hill the sum of Twenty dollars. I give and bequeath to Mary Eagan, sister of the said Catharine Eagan, my feather bed. All the rest, residue, and remainder of my property I give and bequeath to the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St. John’s to be expended for Masses for the repose of the souls of myself and my deceased wife Johanna. Witness my hand at St. John’s this Twenty third day of June, 1917. THOMAS his X mark SULLIVAN.

Signed, Published and declared by the testator (having been first read over and explained to him who appeared perfectly to understand the same and who signed the same by making his mark thereto in our presence) in presence of us both being present at the same time, who in his presence and at his request hereunto subscribe ourselves as witnesses attesting the due execution hereof: Chas. O’Neill Conroy. K. Sinnott.
