Will of Thomas Stamp

In re: THOMAS STAMP. DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me. Thomas Stamp of Pennywell Road, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Farmer, made the 24th day of April A.D. 1913.

1. I appoint Sir Edward P. Morris of St. John’s, Kings Counsel, and Gordon Frank Pike, of St. John’s Accountant to be the executors of this my last will and testament.

2. I give and bequeath all my real and personal property of whatsoever kind and wheresoever situate to my said executors to the sole and absolute use of my wife Kate for her life, or until she shall marry again.

3. Upon the death or remarriage of my said wife, the whole of my said property shall be held by my said executors in trust for my children, William, Annie and Ellen, to the intent that all or any of them who remain unmarried, may, while so unmarried, have the use and occupation of it.

4 Upon the marriage or death of both my said daughters Annie and Ellen then the whole of the said property shall pass to my said son William. But in the event of the death unmarried of my said son, then upon the marriage of both of my said daughters, the said property shall be equally divided between them.

5. I hereby revoke all former wills or testamentary dispositions and declare this to be my last will and testament. - Thomas his x mark Stamp - Signed and published by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, both being present at the same time, who in his presence, and the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
