Will of Thomas Ryan

In re: THOMAS RYAN. DECEASED

The Last will and Testament of Thomas Ryan Biscay Bay. I, Thomas Ryan of Biscay Bay do hereby declare this to be my last will and Testament I will that all my property in land be divided equally between my sons Thomas Denis, John Michael and Richard.

I leave my dwelling house to my son Richard and I will that all my house furniture and all my stock in cattle be equally divided between my sons Denis Michael and Richard. I will that my money to the amount of four hundred dollars at present deposited in the Union Bank St. John’s, be equally divided between my sons Thomas, Denis, John, Michael, and Richard, of the other money I have in my possession I leave one hundred dollars to my daughter Mary Kennedy, and forty dollars to the Parish Priest Trepassey for Masses for the repose of my soul, and whatever remains after the funeral expenses I will to be given for Masses for myself and wife. I will also that my share in the boat be equally divided between my five sons, Thomas Denis John Michael and Richard

I appoint my son Thomas Ryan to be executor of this will. Signed by me in presence of witnesses on this twenty-third day of November eighteen hundred and ninety-one - Thomas his x mark Ryan - witnessers W. Born Michael Ryan Nov 23rd/91.
