In re: THOMAS PAYNE DECEASED.
This is the last Will and Testament of me, Thomas Payne of Aquaforte in the Electoral District of Ferryland, fisherman. I appoint my wife Mrs. Harriet Payne to be my executrix. I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife Harriet Payne for her sole use and benefit for her life time or until she marries again half my house (Eastern part) half my property and half my fishing gear. In event of her death or remarriage her share is to go to my son Alfred. I give devise and bequeath unto my son Alfred Payne the other half of my house, property and fishing gear for his sole use and benefit, my wife retains her own furniture and things. I also, give devise and bequeath to my wife Harriet the Potato and fruit garden near the house for her own use and benefit. I give, devise and bequeath to my daughters Carrie and Florence half of the West side of my Glen property extending from the slide path to the sea a continuation of the part I sold to Robt. Rice whose is to pay my wife five dollars a year for five years after which it is to become his property. The other half of the Glen property is to go to Alfred.
In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament this sixth day of February A.D. nineteen hundred and twenty two, set my name.
