In re: THOMAS COFFIN . DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Coffin of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland formerly a Looker in His Majestys Customs

First I give devise and bequeath unto my son George Coffin all and singular my right title and interest in and to the lease of the land upon which the dwelling house, in which I now reside, known as No. 44 Bannerman Street, is erected together with the said dwelling house and all other buildings and erections thereon

Second, I give devise and bequeath unto my niece Jessie French all my right title and interest in and to the lease of the land upon which the dwelling house No. 42 Bannerman Street is erected together with the said dwelling house and all other buildings and erections on said land and also all and singular the beds bedding and furniture and effects contained in the Bedroom in my said house which is now in her occupancy.

Third I give and bequeath unto my son Charles Coffin all and singular my right title and interest in and to the lease of the land on Bannerman Street upon which the dwelling house No. 40 is built, together with the said dwelling house and all other buildings and erections on said land

Fourth I give and bequeath unto my said two sons namely George and Charles equally, all my right title and interest in and to the lease of the land on Colonial Street upon which dwelling house No. ___ is built together with the said dwelling house and all buildings and erections on said land and also all and singular all the household furniture and effects of every description that shall be contained in my dwelling house at the time of my death save and except the furniture and other effects contained in the bedroom occupied by my niece Jessie French and which I have herein bequeathed to her

Fifth I give and bequeath unto my said son George the sum of three hundred dollars

Sixth I give and bequeath unto my grandson George Coffin the sum of fifty dollars

All the rest residue and remainder of my estate of whatsoever nature or description I give and bequeath unto my said two sons George and Charles and my said niece Jessie French in equal parts that is to say one third part each

I hereby nominate and appoint Robert Russell of St. John’s Custom House Officer, to be the executor of this my said last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John’s aforesaid this eleventh day of July Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and fourteen. Thomas Coffin.
