Will of Sarah Carter from Newfoundland will books volume 4 page 33 probate year 1879

In re
          Sarah Carter deceased.

This is the last will of me Sarah Carter of St. John’s, widow, of Robert Carter Esqr late of Ferryland, deceased.     I give & bequeath all my property, real & personal & wheresoever situate to my executor hereinafter named & his heirs in trust to pay assign & appropriate the same equally amongst my children Eliza Hoyles, Robert Carter, Fanny Randell, Mary McLea & James Carter to the several use of them & their heirs for ever.     I direct that the shares of my married daughters shall be for their sole & separate use & not subject to either the debts or control of their respective husbands.     I appoint my son Robert my executor.     Signed & published by the said testatrix at St. John’s this twenty-seventh day of September A.D. 1866, in our presence who in her presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses at the same time.     Sarah Carter.     John Skeoch.     George Simms.
