Will of Samuel Elliott

IN RE:   SAMUEL ELLIOTT.    DECEASED

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Samuel Elliott of No. 21 Walsh's Square St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland Labourer.

I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and Testament.

I will and direct that my just debts and testamentary expenses be first paid out of my estate.

I give devise and bequeath all my property of whatsoever kind I may die possessed to my wife Elizabeth Elliott for her own use and benefit.

I appoint my said wife the Executrix of this my last will. The interest of my said wife Elizabeth is to be for her life time. At her death my estate is to be my brother John Elliott's absolutely.

St. John's. May 14/25. SAMUEL his X mark ELLIOTT

Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who at his request and in his presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses attesting the due execution thereof (the said will having first been read over and explained to the said Testator who appeared perfectly to understand the same and who signed the same by making his mark thereto in our presence).
