Will of Robert Hutchings

In re: ROBERT CARTER HUTCHINGS. DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen I Robert C. Hutchings of the City of New York State of New York Mariner considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Rosa Francis Hutchings to have and to hold the same for ever all my estate both real and personal of every nature and kind my goods and chattels demands dues and interests excepting only any property estate annuity pension or beneficial interest whatever which has been or may hereafter be granted bequeathed or devised to me by my Father George Hutchings of Saint John’s Newfoundland Gentleman which said property estate annuity pension or other interest so devised I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Rosa Francis Hutchings for the term of her natural life to wit a life interest in the same and moreover I do will and devise that at the decease of my beloved wife said property estate, annuity, pension or other interest devised me by my Father George Hutching’s aforesaid shall be divided equally share and share alike among my children then living I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made and appoint Richard W. Newman of the City of New York Executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and forty two.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named Robert C. Hutchings to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of each of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and at his request and in the presence of one another.
