Will of Robert J. Chancey
In re ROBERT J. CHANCEY. DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Robert John Chancey, of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Store Keeper, hereby revoking all former wills and testaments made by me. FIRST. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Matilda Chancey, all sums of money found to be due on my death, under and by virtue of all and every, of the policies of Insurance effected on the life of me, the said Robert J. Chancey, for and during her natural life; with power and authority to my said wife to use and dispose of the said moneys as she may desire. SECOND. I give and bequeath to my aforesaid wife for and during her natural life, all the houses and land situate on the Freshwater Road, with the household furniture and effects of every nature and kind whatsoever; and on her death, the said land, houses, furniture, and monies remaining, shall be held for the occupancy and use of my daughter Beatrice, as long as she remains unmarried; After which the said land, houses, furniture, effects and whatsoever remaining, be sold and equally divided among my four children, Herbert L. Chancey, Sydney A. Chancey, Hedley R. Chancey, Beatrice M. Chancey, excepting the Piano, which I give and bequeath to my aforesaid daughter Beatrice. THIRD. On the death of either or any of my aforesaid children previous to my said wife, it is my wish and desire that his, her, or their share, or shares, be equally divided between the survivor or survivors of him, her, or them. LASTLY. I appoint my said wife, Executrix, hereto. Sealed at St. John’s aforesaid, this twenty fifth day of March A. D. 1909. ROBERT J. CHANCEY. Signed, published and declared by the said testator as, and for his last will and testament in our presence, who in his presence, at his request, and in the presence of each other, subscribe our names as witnesses hereto.
