Will of Patrick Fennessy from Newfoundland will books volume 4 page 315 probate year 1884

In re
            Patrick Fennessy deceased.

This is the last will and testament of me Patrick Fennessy of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Cooper.     I desire that all my just debts be first paid and the remainder of the money which I may be possessed of be handed over to my son John Fennessy.     I devise and bequeath the dwelling house in which I now reside together with the cooper’s shop to my son John Fennessy.     I devise and bequeath the dwelling house occupied by my tenants Philip Penney and Michael Cunningham to my granddaughter Mary Alice Fennessy.     I appoint my friends Thomas Shortall and Archibald Pryor executors of this my will.     St. John’s May 21st A.D. 1884.     Patrick his X mark Fennessy.     Signed by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses (the same having been first read over and explained to the said Patrick Fennessy) Archibald Prior, M.H. Carty.
