In re: PATRICK KOUGH. DECEASED
In the name of God Amen. The last will and testament of me Patrick Kough of St. John's Gentleman.
I nominate and appoint the Most Reverend Michael Francis Howley Archbishop of St. John's the executor of this my last will and testament.
I give devise and bequeath to my said Executor all the land houses moneys goods chattels and effects of which I may die possessed to hold the same in Trust for the support and maintenance of my sister Annie Kough during her life if I should die before her and if she should not be living at the time of my decease and after her death if I should die before her my said Executor shall hold the said land houses, moneys goods chattels and effects for the use of the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St. John's subject to the condition that twelve Masses shall be celebrated every year for the repose of my soul and the souls of my father and mother my brothers and sisters.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 14th day of July 1906 Patrick Kough.
Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have signed the same as witnesses.

Codicil to the last will and testament of me Patrick Kough of St. John's gentleman. Notwithstanding anything in my last will and testament made prior to this Codicil I give and bequeath to Michael Fitzgerald my silver watch chain and seal and to his wife Mary Fitzgerald all the furniture goods and effects which are now in the house on Cochrane Street where I reside.
I also give and bequeath to the said Mary Fitzgerald for the term of her natural life the net yearly rental of the house on military road now occupied by one Shear and direct my executor named in my said last will and testament to pay the same to her annually during her life after first making provision out of the same for the payment of all taxes insurance interest or other charges due on account of any encumbrances upon the said house. After the death of the said Mary Fitzgerald the said rental shall become & revert to use of the purposes provided in my last will & testament.
