In re PATRICK JORDAN: DECEASED. In the name of God Amen. I Patrick Jordan of Saint John's, Clothier, being of sound mind, memory and understanding do make, declare and ordain the following as and for my last will and testament. After the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I desire and will that my trade and business shall be conducted by my sons James, William and Andrew Jordan To my said son James Jordan I will and bequeath the sum of three hundred pounds currency to be taken and drawn from the proceeds of my stock in trade. I will and desire that the said amount shall not be taken or withdrawn from my said trade and business at any time when it would be injurious or detrimental to draw the same therefrom or thereout.I further will and desire that my said three sons James, Andrew and William whilst they continue to carry on said business shall maintain and support my beloved daughters Catherine Maria Jordan, Bridget Maria Jordan, and Anne Joseph Jordan; and such maintenance and support shall be a charge on said stock in trade, until each of my said daughters shall marry or be otherwise provided for. I further bequeath to my said daughter Catherine Maria Jordan the sum of two hundred pounds free and clear of the control or interference of any husband she may marry, and payable to her in two years after my decease. To my daughter Bridget Maria Jordan I bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds, and to my youngest daughter Anne Joseph Jordan the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds which said amounts shall be payable to my said daughters out of the proceeds of my stock in trade, and after the paymen t of said amount of three hundred pounds to my said son James Jordan. In case my said three sons shall not wish to continue the trade and business together, or if said trade and business be terminated by other circumstances, then and in either case I will and desire that an account of said stock in trade be taken, and the proceeds of any sale or valuation made thereon be distributed in even and equal shares among my sons after the payment of the bequests to my said three daughters. I will and bequeath to my said son James all my rights, title and interest in the land and premises adjoining the house at present occupied by Mr. Lawler on Water Street in Saint John's aforesaid. I will and bequath to my said son Andrew all that other house, shop, and the land thereunder and thereto belonging adjoining and to the westward of the said house so bequeathed to said James Jordan. I will and bequeath all my rights, title and interest in the land and house I now live in with the premises and outh ouses thereto appertaining to my sons William and Patrick Jordan. I will and bequeath my piano to my beloved daughter Mary Anne Joseph. I will and bequeath my household furniture to my sons James, William, Andrew, and Patrick. I will and bequeath all that farm of land at the Goulds to my said sons, share and share alike. I bequeath to my dear daughter Anastatia Kenan the sum of fifteen pounds payable out of my said stock in trade by and in yearly instalments of three pounds fifteen shillings annually free and clear of the control of her present husband. All the rest residue and remainder of my property, goods, debts and effects I will and bequeath to my said sons, share and share alike. I appoint the Reverend Jeremiah O'Donnell executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other and former wills made by me . September 13th, 1865. Little, R. Raftus. As a codicil to the foregoing I further ordain and appoint my son James as co-executor with the said Fathere O'Donnell to carry out the intention of this my last will and testament and declare this to be a part of my said last will and testament.
