In re: PATRICK DOWNS. DECEASED.
Last will and testament of Mr. Patrick Downs In the parish of Torbay Farmer made this twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen
I do here will and bequeath to my son Michael Downs all my personal property now and for ever to do as he please with My house and barn horse carts carriage and cows my farm and lands and all the implements belonging to it I do here will to my wife Mary Downs the young cow to do as she please with I do will to my dauther Mary Ellen the Portrait of my son Patrick and to Nellie Ryan the little Nun and to Mary Ryan our bed after our death And the same Michael Downs is to take charge of all and to support us whilst living and bury us when we are dead and have two Masses every year for twenty years And the forty dollars belonging to me in the Total Abstinence Society is to go for a High Mass for me Signed Patrick his X mark Downs Signed in presence of us this day and date above written Witness Michael Downs Patrick Ryan Daniel McGuire
