Nicholas Doyle

In re: NICHOLAS DOYLE. DECEASED.

I, Nicholas Doyle, of Torbay South, District of St. John’s East, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make my last will and testament:

FIRST. I give, devise and bequeath to my son Peter Doyle, his heirs and assigns forever, my dwelling house & Barn and all other outhouses attached to the homestead together with all other appertinences such as cars and carriage and farming utentials all the Cow Cattle one Horse and one fole, togather with my farm as aforesaid situated at Torbay South Newtown One portion of it adjoining the dwelling House and bounded as follows North & East by John Power West by Patrick Ryan South the Road leading to Middlecove the other portion called the rishey marsh also bounded by the road to Middlecove & South by Mshion river West by John Roche & John Power, and also a piece or parcel of land on the South Side of Moshieon River purchased from the late Patrick Druhan and bounded as follows North by the said Motion River South by Patrick Ryan & East, he my son Peter Doyle and his heirs and assigns to have and to hold all the abovementioned Land & Cattle & Houses after my decease.

SECOND. I give devis and bequeath to my four daughters, Bridget or Bride socalled. May and Ellen May Doyles One hundred dollars each and to Alice or Alice Roche now the sum of Fifty dollars and to her son that is Alices son Nixey or Nicholas Roche fifty Dollars when he is Twenty one years of age.

THIRD. After the aforementioned amounts is distributed to my four Daughters and my grandson Nicholas Roche, and whatever is left in the Saven Bank Montreal after my decease shall revert to my son Piery or Peter Doyle for testatory or other Expenses, and if any of my daughters afore mentioned will need or want a home in the old homestead according to my wishes he will help any of them that may come home that is all.

FOURTH. I hereby appoint my son Peter Doyle Executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I, Nicholas Doyle, the testator have to this my last will and testament, set my hand and my Seal the First day of March A.D. 1919. NICHOLAS his X mark DOYLE.

Signed, Sealed, Published and declared by the above named Nicholas Doyle, as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at his request, as witnesses thereto, in presence of the said testator and of each other.
