Will of Mary Walsh

In re MARY WALSH. DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Mary Walsh of Kilbride near St. John*s in the Island of Newfoundland married woman.

First. I devise and bequeath unto my husband Richard Walsh for the term of his natural life my farm situate at Kilbride with dwelling house and all other erections thereon and also all stock and farming implements on the said farm.

Secondly I devise give and bequeath unto my nephew Edward Gorman my aforesaid farm situate at Kilbride with dwelling house and all other erections thereon and also all stock and farming implements on the said farm To hold the same unto my said nephew Edward Gorman for ever subject only as to the life interest of my husband Richard Walsh bequeathed by paragraph one of this my last will and Testament.

I desire that my nephew Edward Gorman will assist my husband in cultivating the farm and help generally about the same and will procure the help of his sisters to do my husband*s washing and cooking.

I further desire that my nephew Edward Gorman will cause masses to be celebrated for the repose of the souls of myself my husband my father and my brother.

I hereby appoint Patrick Walsh of Kilbride executor of this my last will and testament.

I hereby revoke all wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by my.

In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand subscribed the fourth day of July Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and four.

Mary her X mark Walsh.

Signed by the said testatrix as and for her last will and testament by making her mark in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the same having been first read over and explained.
