Mary Egan deceased.
This is the last will of me Mary Egan of St. John’s widow.
1. I appoint John Hayse of Saint John’s Postal official executor of this my will.
2. I give and bequeath all my property money and estate to my said executor upon trust to expend the same for the support and education of my four grandchildren Mary Egan John Egan Catherine Egan and Ellie Egan children of my son John Egan deceased Such expenditure to be made as my executor thinks best in the interests of the said children, my said executor may pay any moneys to the mother or other guardian of the said children
3. In the event of the death of all said children before my estate is fully expended any surplus shall go to their mother absolutely - St. John’s January 5, 1914 Mary her X mark Egan - Signed by making her mark published and declared by the said testatrix as her last will in our presence who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other and present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses (having been first read over & explained to and approved of by said testatrix who appeared thoroughly to understand the same)
