IN RE: MARY ANN CRANFORD. DECEASED
I, Mary Ann Cranford, Widow of William Cranford, of St. John's in the Electoral District of St. John's West being of sound and disposing mind and memory and being desirous of settling my worldly affairs while I have strength and capacity do make and declare and publish this as my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former Wills at any time heretofore made by me.
1. I hereby appoint Thomas Whelan of St. John's, Clerk, to be sole Executor of this my Will. He is to pay all my lawful debts owing at my death and all my funeral and testamentary expenses. I direct that the necessary funds for this purpose are to be taken from the monies standing to my credit in the bank at the date of my death.
2. I direct my Executor to sell my house and premises Number Three Gilbert Street, St. John's as well as all furniture therein and to divide the proceeds realized therefrom equally between my two children George Cranford and Mary Williamson.
3. I bequeath all monies standing to my credit in any bank or banks in the City of St. John's after payment of my funeral and testamentary expenses and of any pecuniary legacies hereby bequeathed to be distributed in three equal shares amongst my children Mary Williamson and George Cranford and my brother George Cole.
4. To my brother, George Cole, I bequeath one side-board to be his absolutely.
5. I direct that my niece Mrs. Philip Murphy daughter of my brother George Cole is to have all the floor-canvas in my house at the day of my death.
6. All the rest and residue of my property not hereinbefore disposed of I bequeath and devise to my children George Cranford and Mary Williamson in equal shares.

Signed by the said Testatrix by making her mark hereto as her last Will and Testament in the presence of us both, both present at the same time, who at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto. The above Will was read over to the Testatrix in the presence of us both, both present at the same time and she acknowledged full understanding of the Will and complete satisfaction with its terms. At her request, in our presence, both present at the same time. Philip Lewis signed the Testatrix' name. Daisy Hussey Madeline Maher
