In re: MARTIN RYAN . DECEASED.
This is the last will and testament of me Martin Ryan of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland Carpenter.
First I direct that my executor hereinafter named will pay my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses.
Secondly, I give devise and bequeath to my wife Mary for the term of her natural life all my property of every description whatsoever and wheresoever situate.
Thirdly I give devise and bequeath to my son and daughter Martin and Mary Margaret respectively upon the termination of the life interest of my wife Mary as aforesaid, all my property of every description whatsoever and wheresoever situate share and share alike.
I hereby appoint John J. Healy of St. John’s aforesaid Grocer sole executor of this my last will and testament. I hereby revoke all wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me. In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand subscribed this fifth day of October A.D. 1914. Martin his X mark Ryan Signed by the said testator as and for his last will and testament by affixing thereto his mark in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the same having been first read over and explained J.J. McCarthy Bevelny Barnes
