Will of Laurence Hickey

IN RE:   LAURENCE HICKEY.    DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me Laurence Hickey of St. John's Fireman hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time made. I give devise and bequeath to my son James the dwelling house together with the garden in the rear of same and at present occupied by me. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Jane wife of John Williams the dwelling house together with the garden in rear of same and at present occupied by tenants Sinclair and Fleming.

To my Executor hereinafter named I give the benefits and insurance to which I am entitled from the Longshoremen's Union and the Star of the Sea Association to be applied by him
(a) in the payment of any debts due by me
(b) in the erection of a tombstone to my memory and my deceased wife and
( c) in the celebration of Masses for the repose of my soul.

I give my bed and bedding to my granddaughter Nellie Williams. The residue of my Estate I give and bequeath to my son James. I appoint my son James Executor of this my will st. John's Sept. 6. 1912 - Laurence his x mark Hickey - Signed by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses (The words and at present occupied by me "having been first inserted on 10th line 1st page (The same having been first read over and explained Moses Oneil M. P. Tibbo
