Will of Laurence Devereux

In re: LAURENCE DEVEREUX . DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Laurence Devereux of Trepassey Newfoundland District of Placentia and St. Marys. I appoint J. L. Murphy and my brother Richard Devereux of Trepassey to be my executors

I give devise and bequeath unto my son Edward James Devereux all my personal property containing land at Trepassey and Blanay Bay also my part of store and stage 3 sheep and part of the house now occupied by me also my fishing property and that he will see to the maintenance and provide a home in the house now occupied by me to my daughters Annie Belle and Nora Josephine whilst they remain single and also to my wife Elizabeth Devereux she shall also have a home and live with them whilst she remains single and shall look after the children and be kind to them.

Laurence his X mark Devereux In witness thereof I the said Laurence Devereux of Trepassey Newfoundland have to this my last will and testament set my name the ___ Day of ____ in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven. Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request and in his presence of each other have subscribed our names as witness June 24th 1907. (Listed in the margin next to this will the following) Fiat Jany 21/15 CJ. Probate Jany 26/15 granted to Richd Devereux Jno L. Murphy The other exr having pre deceased the said testator Estate sworn at $312.00
