In re John Snellgrove deceased. In the name of God Amen. I John Snelgrove of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland Sail maker being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding but considering the uncertainty of life do this second day
of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say I give and bequeath to my oldest daughter Catherine Snellgrove all the rents issues and profits now arising or that may hereafter arise out and from that reasuage and premises at Saint John's aforesaid with the apputenances leased to Edward Brennen by Indenture bearing date the twenty sixth day of March A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty four, Also the rents issues profits and emoluments of that certain premises leased to Patrick L. Power
by Indenture bearing date the first day of November A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty four, Also the rents issues profits and embluments of all that certain premises leased to William Linegar by Indenture bearing date the twenty second day of February A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty five, Also all the rents issues profits and emoluments of a certain piece of land in the occupancy of William Loveys and all the rents issues profits and emoluments of certain premises now in the possession of Michael Power and Anthony Tobin, I also give and bequeath to my eldest son George Snellgrove his heirs and assigns all that certain Cove or fishing plantation site ate
near Quidi Vidi in the Central District commonly known by the name of Cuckold's Cove, I also give and bequeath to my youngest daughter Diana Snellgrove her heirs and assigns for ever all that certain piece or parcel of land and premises situate on the south side of Quidi Vidi Pond near the town of Saint John's aforesaid the same being held under Grant from the Crown bearing date the twenty ninth day of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty four. I also give and bequeath to my said daughter Diana all the rents issues and profits arising to that may hereafter arise from the premises leased to Pierce Grace by Indenture bearing date the twenty second day of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty three. I also give and bequeath to my said daughter Diana all the rents issue and profits arising or that may hereafter arise from certain premises situate in Saint John's aforesaid let to Michael Cahill and John Maher. I also give and bequeath to my said daughter Diana all the rents issues and profits arising from certain premises leased to Joseph Ryan and William Shae by Indenture bearing date the twenty second day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred
and forty five I also give and bequeath to my son George to my said daughters Catherine and Diana the rents and profits arising from a pew in the Established Church share and share alike and I also further will and require that all assessments and expenses of the same shall be borne by them in equal proportions respectively I also give and bequeath to my said daughters Catherine and Diana all my household goods and furniture for their use and benefit and in case my said daughter Catherine should happen to die before my daughter Diana then I give her share to my said daughter Diana. And in case my said daughter Diana should happen to die before my daughter
Catherine then I give her share to my said son George and my daughter Catherine share and share alike save and except that piece of land held by Grant from the Crown which I bequeathed to my said daughter Diana her heirs and assigns for ever. And I constitute and appoint my said daughter Diana sole executrix of this my last will and testament and I revoke all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament subscribed my hand and affixed my seal at Saint John's aforesaid the day and year first before written.
