Will of Josiah Simmons

IN RE:   JOSIAH SIMMONS. DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me, Josiah Simmons, of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Painter:

(1) I hereby revoke all former wills and testaments made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament

(2) I appoint John Maunder, of Saint John's, Tailor, sole executor of this my will.

(3) I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha my dwelling house situate on William Street, and all the rest residue, and remainder of my property of which I shall die possessed, to hold the same to my said wife for her sole and absolute use for ever.

Witness my hand at St. John's aforesaid this twenty-fourth day of April A.D. 1908. Josiah his x mark Simmonds Signed published, and declared by the testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who, in the presence of the testator and of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses having first been read and explained to the said testator and approved by him in our presence D Morison J Kelly
