Will of Joseph Reid

In re: JOSEPH JAMES REID DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Joseph James Reid, of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Grocer.

FIRST. I hereby revoke all former wills and testaments made by me.

SECONDLY: I appoint my wife, Jessie Reid, and Benjamin Keeping of the Anglo-American Telegraph Company, St. John's, Executors of this my last Will and Testament.

THIRDLY: I bequeath unto my said wife, Jessie Reid, all my land and house situate at St. John's aforesaid together with all furniture, stock in trade and all other effects whatsoever belonging to me.

FOURTHLY: I also bequeath to my said wife all moneys standing to my credit in Bank.

FIFTHLY: I also bequeath to my said wife my interest in amounts due to me by one Levi Gardiner and one Martin, of St. John's aforesaid, Cooper.

Witness my hand at St. John's aforesaid this twenty-second day of December Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and sixteen. Joseph James Reid. Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament, in our presence, who in the presence of the said Testator and of each other, all present at the same time, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
