Will of Joseph Augustus Pike

In re: JOSEPH AUGUSTUS PIKE. DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me Joseph Augustus Pike of Saint John’s Newfoundland Storekeeper.
First I give devise and bequeath my Freehold Dwelling No 100. Pleasant Street Saint John’s with all ground thereto to my wife Hannah for her own absolute use and benefit

Secondly I give, devise, and bequeath all monies to my credit either in banks or due me from any other source to my wife Hannah for her absolute use and benefit

Thirdly I give, devise and bequeath all my personal property, goods, chattels, and everything of which I shall die possessed to my wife Hannah for her absolute use and benefit

Fourthly I hereby nominate and appoint Frederick Stafford M.D. Physician and Surgeon my sole executor to this my sole and only will. Witness my hand at Saint John’s Newfoundland this seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine - Joseph Augustus Pike - signed by the said Joseph Augustus Pike the Testator in our presence, who in his presence and in the presence of each other at the same time subscribed our names as witnesses witness Albert Agustes Pittman, Shiprite Witness William Parsons Butler, Clerk.
