Will of Joseph Corrigan

In re: JOSEPH CORRIGAN. DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me Joseph Corrigan of Trepassey in the District of Placentia St. Marys Fisherman I revoke all former wills at any time heretofore made by me. My will is that my wife Mary is to be provided as follows. I devise and bequeath to my wife all my property both real and personal while she lives, and after her death to go to my sons: as follows.

I devise and bequeath, a piece of ground about one acre more or less situate in the Dock, between William Molloy's and ground owned by James Butler to my son John. I also leave to my son John the House he now occupies together with garden & outhouses also a garden below the road & 25 yds on the upper side of road half the beach to my son John & other half to my son James.

The House and garden now in my son James possession I devise & bequeath to him (James). Seven acres of land on the north side of north East arm adjoining land owned by Mathew Kennedy I devise & bequeath to my son William, nine acres of land at Drift Cove Powells Head to be equally divided between my sons John & James. To my son William it is my will that he shall have a room in the House occupied by John for Ten years, also the use of the store for the same time viz 10 years.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my will this 25th day of January 1902 Joseph His x mark Corrigan Signed and delivered by the said Joseph Corrigan as and for his last will & Testament in the presence of us present at the same time, who in his presence and at his request, and in presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Ernest Akhurst Mariner William Molloy fisherman
