In re: JOHN WILLIAMS. DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me, John Williams of The Goulds now Forest Pond, made this twentieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.

1. I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife, Maria Williams, the farm I now reside on, and all buildings on the same, and all stock and buildings of every description, whatsoever on the said farm and in the said buildings, for her sole use and benefit during her natural life, and on her death I devise and bequeath the said farm, buildings, stock and furniture, to my son Allen for his sole absolute use and benefit; subject, however to the condition that on the death of my said son Allen half of the said farm -that is the western end- shall go to Allen Thomas Williams, my grandson, now residing with me, which half I give, devise and bequeath to the said Allen Thomas Williams; and subject to the further condition that at any time after my death my daughter Adelaide Williams, now Mrs. McCoubray, may take out of the said farm a frontage on Forest Pond Road, for a building lot twenty-five feet square.

2. I give, devise and bequeath to my son Thomas the farm of five acres, now occupied by him, bordering on Third Pond, with a right of way of eight feet to be reserved for him and for his use through the farm I now occupy.
3. I give, devise and bequeath to my son William the farm situate on the Back Line, between the farms of Thomas Williams and Frederick Chafe.

4. I give, devise and bequeath to my two sons Matthew and George to be equally divided between them- Matthew taking the northern end, and George the southern end- that farm situate on the Back Line Road, between the farms on one Finn and Kelly. TO HAVE and TO HOLD the said several farms, houses and properties unto the said parties hereby devised and bequeathed for ever. I appoint Edward P. Morris of St. John's, Solicitor, executor of this my will. In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John's aforesaid the day and year first before written. John Williams. This is a codicil to the last will and testimony of me John Williams, of Forest Pond, which said will bears date the 20th May 1904. With regard to paragraph 2 of my said will, I desire to add the further condition, namely, that in the event of my said wife desiring to reside away from said farm she shall be at liberty to do so, and whilst so residing away from said farm my said son Allan shall contribute to her support $100 per year. With regard to paragraph 3 of my said will, I cancel and annul the same, and give, devise and bequeath to my son Thomas the farm mentioned therein. In all other respects I confirm my said will. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John's, this 29th day of June A.D. 1905. John Williams. This is a codicil to the last will and testament of me, John Williams, of Forest Pond, which said will bears date the 20th day of May A.D. 1904. With regard to paragraph 1 of my said will I hereby revoke and cancel the same substituting for the said paragraph the following:

I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Maria Williams the farm on which I now reside, with all the buildings on the same, and all the stock on the same and furniture of every description whatsoever, for her sole use and benefit during her lifetime: and on her death I give devise and bequeath the said farm buildings stock and furniture to my son Allan Williams for his own absolute use and benefit, subject to the condition that on the attainment to the age of twenty five years of my grandson Allan Thomas Williams son of my son Thomas now residing with me half of the said farm, that is the western end of the same, shall go and I hereby give devise and bequeath the same unto the said Allan Thomas Williams and subject to the further condition that at any time after my death my daughter Adelaide Williams now Mrs. McGoubrey may mark off from the said farm a piece or parcel of land or building lot twenty five feet square and having a frontage on Forest Pond. This is a codicil to my last will and testament bearing date ............., It is my will and desire that upon my grandson Allan Thomas Williams reaching the age of twenty five years, and coming into possession of my farm he is to pay Matthew Williams my son the sum of forty dollars, and my daughter, May Dower, the sum of forty dollars.
