Will of John White

In re: JOHN WHITE. DECEASED

I John White of Portugal Cove in the Electoral District of St. John's East, Fisherman, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and Testament. After the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give, devise and bequeath to my nephew Thomas White son of my brother Michael, all the property both real and personal that I may die possessed of. I will and direct that my Executor shall have a tomb stone placed over my grave and also that he shall have twenty Masses celebrated for the repose of my soul.

I appoint my brother Michael of Portugal Cove, Executor of this my will. St. John's, September 14th. A.d. 1909 John his x mark White Signed, published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses The same having been first read over and explained A. Burke M.P. Gibbs
