In re JOHN MCGRATH. DECEASED. In the name of God Amen. I John MacGrath in the vicinity of Saint John’s Farmer, do make the following as my last will and testament.First I will and bequeath to Bridget Walsh my niece my bed, bedding, household furniture, cow. Secondly, I give devise and bequeath to His Lordship the Right Reverend Dr. Mullock and his successors in the bishoprick of the Diocese of Saint John’s in trust all my land, tenements, houses and the rest of my goods chattels monies and effects not hereinbefore disposed of wheresoever situate in trust for the following purpose, that is to say, in the first place, out of the proceeds thereof to pay a certain mortgage debts principal and interest due by me to Mr. C. Simms and all other debts due by me including my funeral expenses. Thirdly, I give devise and bequeath the residue and remainder of all my property real and personal and the proceeds of said land, tenements and premises remaining after the payment of said debts and liabilities unto His Lordship the said Rt. Rev. Dr. Mullock as such Bishop of said Diocese and to his successor as such therein subject to the condition that he and they shall cause Masses to be celebrated yearly and every year for myself my wife parents and relations in said diocese. And I do hereby appoint the Right Revd Dr. Mullock of St. John’s my executor to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said testator have hereunto set my hand the 21st day of September 1858. John his X mark MacGrath.
